She takes over from Ms. Kaheng Leaw, who previously held this position, and had a 16-year career with Bank ABC. MENA’s leading international bank sets eyes on deeper penetration into Asia, bringing in new leadership to further its growth agenda in this increasingly important market for the Bank.

In a career spanning over 25 years, Cherie has successfully held several senior wholesale banking roles with world-leading banks. She joined the Bank ABC Group from HSBC Singapore. There, she held the position of MD, Head of Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, responsible for a portfolio of over 400 group relationships. Prior to that, she was with Standard Chartered Bank, where she started her career as an International Management Trainee and left as MD, Head Global Corporates, Wholesale Bank. Ms. Teng earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of London, United Kingdom.
